Dr. Hewitt is the principal of Harding High School as of Season 6. She has a reputation for being extremely strict and is referred to by students as Hewitt the Hun. Part of her job is enforcing the school board's book-banning policy. When she finds out that Jennifer Keaton has written a book report on Huckleberry Finn in violation of the policy, Dr. Hewitt suspends her.
