Plot
Steven, Elyse, and Andy go camping and Jennifer, Alex, and Mallory stay home. After realizing they should have gone with them, Jennifer, Alex, Nick, and Mallory head to the campground. Unfortunately, the car breaks down in the middle of nowhere, and they have to camp outside.
Music
- Steven and Elyse do a nicely-harmonized "99 Bottles of Beer". Later, Mallory has her own version.
- Alex recites "The Way We Were" (without singing it), and then Nick joins in.
- Elyse sings "In My Life" accompanied by her guitar (while "home movies" show flashbacks)
Trivia
- Parts of this episode are used as a flashback in "Wrap Around the Clock".
- Aired right before the 1988 election, Alex holds a defiled campaign poster of George H.W. Bush.
- Odd event: while the family argues about who defiled the poster, Andy can be seen spinning around quickly like he doesn't know where to go.
- Lauren wears a "Dukakis for President" T-shirt, as Ellen wore a "Mondale - Ferraro" shirt in "It's My Party"
- Nick, not surprisingly, mistakes George Bush for Orville Redenbacher.
