"M is for the Many Things" is the thirteenth episode in the second season of the NBC family sitcom Family Ties. It originally aired on January 19, 1984, and is the thirty-fifth episode of the series overall.
Synopsis[]
Alex is placed in charge of his high school's class souvenirs for graduation. He wants to turn it into a millionaire making project. Elyse is upset when her not-yet-divorced mother starts enjoying the prospect of being single.
Plot[]
Alex tries to get Steven to invest in a souvenir project at school. Steven is resistant, but Alex continues his sales pitch. Elyse's mother (played by Priscilla Morrill) comes, soon to be divorced. Elyse is concerned when she starts dating (and stays out all night). Alex's project falls flat on its face.
