Synopsis[]
Steven is excited by the prospect of restaging a semi-autobiographical and highly radical play he wrote in the 1960s, but Elyse is hesitant about playing the main part.
Plot[]
The local theater is producing a radical play (A Draft Card for the Burning) that Steven wrote in the 1960s. He wants Elyse to play the lead, but she is concerned about how dated the production is), and it seems that everybody but Steven recognizes this as well. The audience is less than enthralled, and the play ends in disaster.
